Most events out there generate one bad iPhone photo and a Slack thread that says 'it went well.' That's a waste. Every Goosewin event, on the other hand, produces at least 3-5 pieces of usable content (clips, quotes, photo sets) that we can give the client and use ourselves.

We're hiring a Field Media Specialist to be the person who shows up, captures, edits, and ships. Strong photo and video instincts, fast turnaround, and a sense for what makes a good post in dev and AI Twitter. You don't need to be a filmmaker; you need to be effective.

What you'll do

  • Cover Goosewin events on-site: photo, short-form video (vertical and horizontal), B-roll, candid moments
  • Capture and edit speaker clips, panel highlights, and 'vibes' content (people talking, food, room shots)
  • Deliver a content package within 48 hours of each event: photo set, 2-3 short clips, raw files
  • Coordinate with the Field Marketing Associate on positioning, lighting, and access
  • Maintain a clean, taggable library of footage in Drive or our DAM of choice
  • Occasionally produce non-event content: client product demos, podcast cuts, social ads

What we look for

  • 2+ years shooting and editing event or product content. Portfolio matters more than years
  • Strong eye for vertical short-form (TikTok, IG Reels, X video). That's where dev content travels now
  • You own your gear: camera, lenses, audio, basic lighting
  • Fast turnaround. We'd rather have a great cut in 48 hours than a perfect one in two weeks
  • Comfortable being in the room. Events aren't shot from the back row

Nice to have

  • Background covering tech, dev, or AI events specifically
  • Motion graphics chops (After Effects, Premiere)
  • Experience producing podcast or YouTube content

Why Goosewin

  • Cover events that actually have something interesting going on: AI infra, agent companies, real founders
  • Your work goes directly to client social, our social, and partner content. Visible reach
  • Steady recurring volume from our existing client base
  • Creative freedom. We tell you the goal, not the shot list
