This page explains what information Goosewin Media Group (https://www.goosewin.com) collects, how we use it, and how we protect it. We keep the data footprint focused on running the site and understanding business interest.

What we collect

  • Contact form: your name, company, work email, service interest, timeline, and message. We collect this only when you submit the form on /contact.
  • Newsletter: your email address, when you subscribe on /insights.
  • Analytics: page-view and usage data via Google Analytics 4 and PostHog, used to understand site performance, traffic sources, and content engagement. This can include heatmaps, performance metrics, surveys, product tours, feature flags, and error reports. These set cookies and may use browser storage. In the EU, UK, and Switzerland, Google Analytics runs in Google Consent Mode and stores nothing until you accept the cookie banner, and PostHog and Common Room are not loaded at all until you accept; elsewhere they run with the notice shown. Raw contact-form request bodies are not recorded.
  • Visitor tracking: page visits and company-level identifiers via Common Room, used to understand which companies are interested in our services. Common Room may use browser storage and, for its enhanced US visitor identification, a third-party provider (Vector) to support this tracking.
  • Theme preference: a localStorage entry in your browser remembering light vs. dark mode. Never leaves your device.

How we use it

  • Contact form submissions are emailed to our team so we can reply. We don't add you to a marketing list based on a contact-form submission.
  • Newsletter signups go to our email service provider (Resend) and are used to send you the newsletter only. Unsubscribe any time via the link in every email.
  • Analytics and visitor-tracking data helps us understand which pages work, which traffic sources perform well, which companies may be interested in our services, and which interactions are slow or broken.

Third-party processors

  • Vercel for hosting.
  • Google Analytics for traffic and usage analytics.
  • PostHog for analytics, surveys, heatmaps, feature flags, performance, and error tracking.
  • Common Room for website visitor tracking and company-level visit insights.
  • Vector as a visitor-identification provider loaded by Common Room for enhanced US visitor identification.
  • Resend for transactional email and newsletter delivery.

Retention

We retain contact-form submissions for as long as the business relationship is active, and up to 24 months afterwards for accounting and reference. Newsletter subscriptions are retained until you unsubscribe. You can request deletion at any time.

Your rights

You can email hello@goosewin.com to access, correct, or delete information we hold about you. If you are a resident of the EU, UK, or California, additional rights may apply under GDPR, UK GDPR, or CCPA respectively. We honor those.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics and PostHog to understand site visits, usage patterns, heatmaps, feature flags, surveys, product tours, performance, and errors. These set cookies and may write browser storage entries to recognize returning visits. Common Room visitor tracking may write browser storage entries and set cookies for company-level visitor identification. Visitors in the EU, UK, and Switzerland are asked to accept or reject these. Until they accept, Google Analytics runs in Google Consent Mode and stores nothing, and PostHog and Common Room are not loaded at all. We also write a localStorageentry for your theme preference and your cookie choice. Clearing this site's data in your browser resets those and shows the banner again.
