Web Developer
Build and maintain goosewin.com and small client microsites: fast, clean, and shipped.

- Type
- Contractor (1099)
- Time
- 10-20 hours/week to start, room to grow
- Compensation
- $100-$180/hr, or fixed project rates by scope.

- Dan Goosewin, Founder
We need a web developer on contract to ship and maintain goosewin.com (Vercel, likely Next.js and Tailwind), plus small client landing pages and microsites for events. Nothing exotic, but we want it done well: fast, accessible, on-brand, and not a bloated mess.
You'll work directly with Dan on briefs and ship quickly. If you like clean Next.js, take pride in a Lighthouse score, and would rather build 20 small, polished pages than one giant CMS, this is a good fit.
What you'll do
- Build and maintain goosewin.com: pages, blog, content updates, SEO basics
- Spin up event and landing microsites for client campaigns (typically 1-3 page sites)
- Implement designs from Figma into Next.js and Tailwind, with real attention to type and motion
- Set up analytics (PostHog), forms, and basic CRM and email integrations as needed
- Keep the build clean: small bundle, fast LCP, accessible by default
- Occasional small features: subscription form, partnership signup, event landing pages
What we look for
- 3+ years Next.js and React in production
- Strong Tailwind fluency. You can build pixel-faithful from a Figma file
- You ship to Vercel routinely. CI, env management, preview deploys are second nature
- Care about performance and accessibility, not just 'does it work'
- Self-directed. We give you a brief, you ask the right 3 questions, you ship
Nice to have
- Experience with MDX, content layers, or headless CMS (Sanity, Contentlayer)
- Some design sense. You can fix small layout issues without bouncing back
- Background working with marketing teams or DevRel content
Why Goosewin
- Small surface area, real autonomy. You won't be in 10 hours of meetings/week
- We pay quickly and don't quibble over invoices
- Steady recurring work as we expand the client roster
- Path to building out a small in-house web and eng practice if you want it
